CropWalk is an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) consultancy firm that provides pest, pathogen, and production insights.

We work with growers by auditing their IPM plan, or pest management plan, with the focus of increasing biocontrol efficacy, application efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

With increasingly restrictive agriculture regulations, pesticide resistance, and increasing pest pressures, it is imperative that growers consistently evaluate and improve upon strategies for protecting their crops.

Growers of high-value crops seek out our skilled and experienced team of professionals to walk their operations and spend time with their team working to understand the IPM context of their unique cultivation system.

This active risk-mitigation process is called the CropWalk Risk Assessment.

Let’s get into the details:

The CropWalk Risk Assessment begins as a diagnostic gathering of information around the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the existing crop production plan in terms of pest and pathogen preventive vigilance, and biosecurity.

This allows us to uncover risks and cost-saving
opportunities. Our IPM planning initiatives are focused on action steps that align production goals with an overall pest management strategy.

After the risk assessment, and upon the development of a comprehensive Audit Action Report, we are able to provide continued resource planning advice, remote monitoring, SOP improvements, onsite training services, and more - all aimed at helping growers require our services less, not more.

After the risk assessment, growers receive a detailed scorecard evaluating 10 categories with specific analysis of their successes, risks, and what remedial actions are recommended.

7.  Scouting and Monitoring
The process of searching for and identifying pests and disease on plants in an objective manner to record and analyze for weekly decision making.

8.  Pest Control Effectiveness and Efficiency –
How well current or planned efforts will meet financial goals and production benchmarks.

9.  Record Keeping
How historical records are kept for purposes of program planning and any necessary state or federal regulatory paperwork.

10.  Biocontrol Supply Chain Management –

Ensuring cost-effective procurement of the tools and inputs needed for an IPM program, proper storage of products to ensure viability, and proper planning and timing for procurement throughout the grow cycle.

1.  IPM Planning
Development of the organization’s IPM goals and objectives with the right tools and information.

2.  Facility Infrastructure and Layout
Determining how existing or planned facilities will impact the overall IPM strategy.

3.  Environmental Controls
Assessing a facility’s environmental controls or climate’s environmental patterns and how that will impact pest and disease management.

4.  Plant Production Process
Reviewing steps that are taken in the production of live plants, how they can be altered, and what risks are associated with the process.

The CropWalk Risk Assessment will validate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the grower’s organization as it relates to pest and disease management.

The Action Report™ delivered to the grower lays the foundation for the facility to prevent pests, save labor, and secure their biocontrol supply chain.
